We will pick you up from your hotel in Kathmandu and drive to Trishuli by bus (approx. 3 hours). After a 20-minute lunch stop in Trishuli, we will continue to Dhunche. The first bus usually arrives in Dhunche by 3:00 pm, and the second bus by 5:00 pm. Please be prepared for potential delays. You will stay overnight in one of the lodges in Dhunche, a peaceful village with friendly locals. (Sleep at 6,450 feet)
Walk to Singh Gompa (approx. 5 hours), passing a few usually closed tea houses. The trail is fairly steep, typical of Nepal. Overnight stay at 10,675 feet.
Walk to Lauribinayak (approx. 3 hours). The first half of the walk is relatively flat, but be prepared for muddy trails if there is snow, which melts about 3 hours after sunrise. Overnight stay at 12,800 feet, where the altitude is noticeable.
Walk to Gosainkund (approx. 3 hours). Stay overnight at 13,400 feet if continuing over the two passes to Kathmandu via Helambu. Alternatively, return the same day to Lauribinayak or Singh Gompa. If the tea house is closed, stay in Ranipauwa for better acclimatization.
Return to Dhunche or proceed to Syabru (6,950 feet). Please note that individuals with knee problems should be prepared for a physically and mentally challenging descent.
Drive back to Kathmandu and rest.
